Donated items will be assembled in special Deployment Kits by the Salvation Army at its locations. It is best not to attempt to assemble items into kits in containers such as shoeboxes before bringing them to the Salvation Army. Such kits tend to split open long before reaching the intended recipient. Items sorted by category into shopping bags are ideal.
