Salvation Army Supports Service Men and Women and Their Families
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division has
established a program to support
Service Men and Women and their Families called Operation Red Shield.
Services available will include:
1. Emergency financial assistance to families for utility bills, rent and
mortgage, medical bills, and other items on a case-by-case
basis
2. Pastoral care and counseling
3. Information and referral services
4. Holiday assistance
5. Case management
6. Deployment Kits and resources
7. Special programs and support groups (as requested)
The need for volunteers to help assemble the Deployment Kits continues to
be
met and the most critical need at this time is getting as many items as
possible that go into these kits donated If you would like to support
Operation Red Shield and contribute items for the Deployment Kits, please
“Click” on the
Wish List to view a list of the Deployment Kit contents.
Every effort is being made to make it as easy as possible for donors to
drop
off their donations at the Salvation Army site nearest them. So far it
works well if the donors who are ready to drop off donations contact the
Operation Red Shield Logistics/Volunteer Coordinator at 908/851-9300 Ext
239
between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday to find the location of
the Salvation Army site nearest them accepting donations.

(FAQs) has
been prepared for those interested. You may also access the Salvation
