The PALS System
PALS is ready for action!
PALS, the Pioneer Alliance
Linkage System, is the TelecomPioneers database where your Pioneer membership
information, volunteer opportunities and activity records are stored. To
access the system, visit
http://pals.telecompioneers.org/
and click on Create
Account to submit a
request for a PALS Username and Password.
- Once you receive your
PALS login, return to PALS and click on “My Profile” (on the left side of
the screen) to update your volunteer interests and availability and choose
options to have PALS send you email notifications when projects are
entered into the system that match your interests, skills and talents
and/or availability. If any information not accessible to you needs to be
updated (i.e., your home address, work location, name change) please
contact us at
jerseyshore@attnjpioneers.org.
- PALS gives you access to
search for volunteer
opportunities.
Click “Search Opportunities” on the left menu and enter your search
criteria. After clicking the ‘Search’ button, PALS displays a listing of
the projects stored in the system that match your criteria. Click on the
project name to display the project detail and ‘Volunteer’ for a project.
Since we’re all just beginning to use the system, check regularly for more
volunteer projects and opportunities as they are still being entered. If
you wish to lead a project, contact your local club
jerseyshore@attnjpioneers.org
for help in posting project information.
- If you sign up to
participate in a project, you can also use your login to
report your volunteer hours.
Click on “Report Volunteer Hours” on the left menu. This will display the
projects you volunteered for through PALS. Click on the project name, then
on “Report Hours” at the bottom of the screen. Enter the total hours you
have spent on the project to date (this information can be later updated.)
The hours you report are used in three ways: first, to determine your
eligibility for TelecomPioneers awards based on volunteer hours; second,
to determine your club or chapter’s eligibility for awards and grants
based on the total hours contributed to projects; and third, to quantify
the community involvement of all TelecomPioneers across AT&T and across
the nation. So
please help us out by entering your volunteer hours!
Check the website FAQs or
submit a ticket to the PALS helpdesk if you have issues with the website or
application.
